# Meta Business Verification

1. Go to <https://business.facebook.com/settings> and Please select the business that is associated with your WhatsApp account.

Eg. I have selected my test business&#x20;

2. Scroll down and select the **"Security Centre"** menu option.
3. Click the **"Start Verification"** button to continue.

4. Click the **"Get Started"** button to continue.

5. Select the country where is your business located and Click the **Next** button to continue. \
   Eg. I have selected **India**

6. Select your business type and Click the **Next** button to continue.\
   Eg. I have selected the **"Private Company"**

7. **Adding Your Business Details**

   (i) To verify your business with Meta, you’ll need to provide the following details:

   * **Business Tax ID**
   * **Business Name**
   * **Business Address**
   * **Phone Number**
   * **Website Link**

   Meta will use these details to look up an official record of your business to confirm its authenticity. If a match is not found, you can upload documents to verify this information.

#### Guidelines for Adding Business Details

When submitting your business details for verification, you only need to provide **one document** from the accepted options listed below.

**Business Name**

Enter your organization name exactly as it appears on official documents.

**Accepted Documents for Verifying Business Name:** *(Choose any one)*

1. **Certificate of Incorporation or Formation (Or)**
   * A legal document related to the establishment of your company or corporation.
2. **Business License (Or)**
   * A government-issued permit allows you to operate within a specific jurisdiction.
3. **Tax or VAT Registration Certificate**&#x20;
   * A document permitting tax-exempt transactions for your business.

**Business Address**

Provide your organization’s address exactly as it appears on official documents.

**Accepted Documents for Verifying Business Address and Phone Number:** *(Choose any one)*

1. **Utility Bill (Or)**
   * Proof of utility services (e.g., gas, water, electricity) for your business operations.
2. **Bank Statement (Or)**
   * A record of your business’s financial transactions and account balance.
3. **Business License**
   * A government-issued permit allows you to operate within a specific jurisdiction.

(ii) Once adding your business details, click the **Next** button.

8. #### Select a Contact Method for Verification

   Choose your preferred contact method and verify it by following the available options:

   * **Email**
   * **Phone Call**
   * **Text Message**
   * **WhatsApp Message**
   * **Domain Verification**

   **Recommended Method:**

   We recommend verifying using your **business email** or the **domain verification** method for better security and accuracy.

Click the **Next** button to continue with the verification process. 👇

#### Important Notes:

* You’ll need to upload documents to confirm the details you’ve entered.
* Your website must be functional, and up to date, and the page you provide should display your business's legal name.

9. #### Upload Documents for Verification

   **Select a Document Type:**

   Choose from the following document types to verify your business. These documents support global businesses, with **MSME** and **GST** being specific to Indian businesses:

   * **Business Bank Statement (Or)**
   * **Business Registration or License Document (Or)**
   * **Business Tax Document (Or)**
   * **Certificate/Articles of Incorporation (Or)**
   * **UDYAM Registration Certificate (MSME) (Or)** *(for Indian businesses only)*
   * **Goods and Services Tax Registration Certificate (GST) (Or)** *(for Indian businesses only)*
   * **Utility bill:** A utility bill is only accepted for **Business address** and **Phone number.** **The legal business name** must be on the utility bill. A utility bill is not an acceptable document for legal business name verification

   **Upload Your Document:**

   Ensure the uploaded document meets the following criteria:

   * It must display the **legal organization name** you provided earlier.
   * It must **not be expired.**

10. **Verify Your Contact Information**

    For example, if you have selected the **Domain Verification** option:

    * Ensure your website is functioning and up to date.
    * The webpage you provide must display your business's legal name.

    Click the **Verify** button to submit your contact information verification successfully.

11. #### Verification In Review

    Your information is currently under review. The review process typically takes about **two working days**.\
    Meta will update your verification status once the review is completed. 👇

Once your business is successfully verified, your status will change to **Verified**, as shown in the image below. \
