# Contacts ## How to add a new Contact? **Step 1:** Go to the **Whautomate app,** Select the **"Communications"** menu option, and Click the **"Contacts"** option to continue. 👇

**Step 2:** Select the **+ New Contact** button.

**Step 3:** Enter the **contact name** and **phone number** with the country code, then click the **"Save"** button to create a contact successfully. Eg. I have entered the contact name and phone number: **John Doe | +919876543210**

**Step 4:** After creating a contact, click the **"Message"** icon to start a conversation in the team inbox chat section quickly.

## How to Bulk Import Contacts **Step 1:** Go to the **Communication** menu

**Step 2:** Select the **Contacts** menu option

**Step 3:** Click the **Bulk Import** button.

**Step 4:** Click the **Download Sample File** button to download the sample file and update the details as per the format. The required fields are **Name, Country Code, and Phone Number.**

**Step 5:** Once it is updated click **Choose File** and select the updated contact file.

**Step 6:** Click the **Import** button

**Step 7:** Click the **Confirm** button

## How to Delete a Contact **Step 1:** Select the **Communication** menu

**Step 2:** Select the **Contacts** option

**Step 3:** Click the **More Action** button

**Step 4:** Select the **Delete Contact** Option

**Step 5:** Click the **Confirm** button to delete a contact

## How to Bulk Delete Contacts **Step 1:** Select the **Communication** menu and select the **Contacts**

**Step 2:** Click the checkboxes to select contacts for deletion, or use the **Bulk Selection** option

**Step 3:** Select the **Actions** and click the **Delete Selected Contacts**

**Step 4:** Click the **Confirm** button to delete the selected contacts

## How to Block a Contact? {% hint style="info" %} We can Block Marketing and Spam contacts in the Whautomate. {% endhint %} **Step 1:** Select the **More Actions** icon.

**Step 2:** Select the **Edit Contact** option.

**Step 3:** Enable the **Block Contact** button and click the **Save** button to block the contact.
