How to Get the WhatsApp Green Tick in 3 Easy Steps
The green tick (Meta now shows it as a blue verified badge) appears next to your business name in WhatsApp and tells customers your account is genuine. Meta decides who gets it; it is not something Whautomate can grant.
Step 1: Verify your business with Meta
Complete Meta Business Verification for the business portfolio that owns your WhatsApp number. On the WhatsApp integration page, the Verify your Business card opens it for you. See Meta Business Verification.
Step 2: Make your business easy to recognise
Meta looks for a notable, well-known brand. Before you apply:
- Use a clear display name that matches your brand, and complete your WhatsApp profile.
- Make sure your website and social profiles show the same business name.
- Press or media articles about your business (not paid or promotional) strengthen your request.
- Two-step verification should be on for the number.
Step 3: Request the verified badge
- Open WhatsApp Manager and go to Phone numbers.
- Select your number and open its settings (Profile tab).
- Under Official business account or Meta Verified, click Submit request and add links that show your brand is notable.
- Meta reviews it and emails you the result. If it is declined, you can apply again after 30 days.
Depending on your country, Meta may offer the badge through a paid Meta Verified for business subscription in WhatsApp Manager instead.
